Refund Policy

A donation is a gift, not a purchase. Here is when we will still return it.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

A donation to HEART Humanitarian Foundation is a gift, not a purchase, so there is nothing to ship, return or cancel. This page sets out the few situations where we will nonetheless return your money, and how to ask.

1. Donations are generally not refundable

When you give, your donation becomes the property of HEART Humanitarian Foundation and we commit it to our charitable work — often within days, and sometimes to a specific family who is then relying on it. That is why we do not offer refunds on request or a change-of-mind window.

2. When we will refund

We will return a donation in full where:

  • It was made in error — a duplicate, or the wrong amount entered, and you tell us promptly.
  • It was made without authorisation — someone used your card or account without your permission.
  • We made a processing mistake, such as taking a payment twice.

There is no time limit on an unauthorised-payment claim. For the other two, contact us as soon as you notice — the sooner you tell us, the more likely the funds are still with us rather than already sent to a family.

3. How to ask

Email Info@HeartHumanitarianFoundation.Org with the date, the amount, and the email address or name the donation was made under. You do not need to give a reason.

  1. We acknowledge within 3 business days.
  2. We decide within 10 business days and tell you either way.
  3. An approved refund is returned by the original payment method, which is the only route available to us. How long it then takes to appear is your bank's or PayPal's timing, not ours — typically 5 to 10 days.

4. Recurring donations

If you set up a repeating donation you can stop it at any time, with no notice and no reason needed — email us, or cancel it directly in your PayPal account. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not refund payments already made, which are covered by the rules above.

5. Your card rights are not affected

Nothing on this page limits the chargeback rights you have with your card issuer or payment provider. If you would rather raise it with them, you may. We would ask that you contact us first, because we can usually resolve it faster and a chargeback costs the charity a fee on top of the returned amount.

6. If you are unhappy with our decision

Tell us and we will look again — see our complaints procedure.

Applicants and beneficiaries never pay us anything. This page is about donors. We do not charge families to apply, to be prioritised, or to receive funds, at any stage. Anyone asking you to pay is not acting for us.
